Dammit, I haven't updated this site in ages. Well, let's start with a not so minor personal event: I'm moving to Rotterdam city. A roommate and myself are renting a nice apartment deep in the rebuilt heart of the city that lost its former heart in WWII. It's also the city where the hellspawn that is known as me was born.

It's relatively cheap, and all I could ask for is within walking range. The only downside is that parking's a bitch as long as I don't have a permit, for which I literally have to bury through several bureaucratic layers, but hey, what else is new.

That aside, I seem to be experiencing the credit crunch in reverse, as my small business is attracting a lot of, well, business, which is just the kind of confidence boost I needed. I have promised to myself to pull my shit together and actually get this site up and running again, including the new comic strip.

Rant, rave, bitch, moan. I so want the new site to be up and running, because I really started to hate this layout. Just hang on a little longer, as it'll be updated from my new headquarters.

The planned "new website but still updates" thing isn't exactly coming out that way. The reason why there haven't been any updates is simple, building the new site is taking the spare time I have.

But do not worry, the new layout is a good as done, and now I can focus on the coding. I'll be able to use large portions of the old database, but there are some things that'll disappear for tidiness sake.

*All the LWAs will be gone. I will not archive them on the site. I might offer them in a big archive file in the future, but for now, LWA has got to go.

* Reviews will be gone for some time, but they'll gradually reappear as I add them to the new blog system.

* New blog system? Yes. The blog is going to be pretty straight forward. I'll be able to add categories, and in those categories go posts. Posts are in chronological order and can be sorted by category if needed. For instance. The podcasts are regular blog posts, and the link will simply filter all the posts filed under "podcasts". You know, your standard web 2.0 crap.

* All comments will be deleted to make room for a new commenting system. The new system will allow anonymous commenting and no longer requires lousy pop-ups.

* New user system stores cookies so you don't have to log in every time you visit the website. You'll be able to upload an avatar to represent yourself. Best thing is, you don't need to register again. All members keep their username and password and some other info that they can change themselves.

* Sharing and staying up to date will be super easy. There's going to be an RSS feed for the comic, the new comic called "Atheism" and blog posts. So if you just want to read the blog posts, you can just subscribe to that. All content will have a ShareThis button, which makes it very easy to share the content using your favorite social bookmarking site.

* And "Atheism", an all new comic strip about atheist issues. Going to be updated weekly (Well, that's the goal).

If things go well, I'll be able to launch the new site in January. As a little taste of what's to come, you can click this link to see the layout elements.

Anyway, that's what's going on.
