New episodes of Futurama, yay!
01/11/2007, 12:07 CET (@505 BMT)by TheArtrix

Just when we thought Futurama was as dead as a squirrel that's been run over several thousands of times on the highway, we get to hear this!

Comedy Central is resurrecting Matt Groening's Futurama three years after the animated series was pulled from the schedule of the Fox broadcast network.

Thirteen new episodes of the show will air during 2008, with the original cast members returning to voice the new programmes.

Y'know, as things look now, 2008 might become a pretty good year.

Avatar, live action, it just might work.

According to AvatarSpirit.net and Variety, the popular Nickelodeon series Avatar will have not one, not two but three live action movies.

Variety reports that Sixth Sense director M. Night Shyamalan has signed on with Paramount to write, produce, and direct three live action films based on Nickelodeon's popular Avatar animated series. A potential conflict looms with Fox's just greenlighted James Cameron sci-fi project of the same title. According to Fox, "We own the movie title 'Avatar.' There won't be another film called 'Avatar' coming from anyplace."

Sixth Sense director, trilogy, I definitely like the sound of that.

A TMNT movie I'm willing to see

I've never been into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles too much, but the trailer, and the continuous stream of screenshots, really makes me want to see this movie.

Bloodmasters, cool game for free
01/08/2007, 14:01 CET (@584 BMT)by TheArtrix

Back in 1998, Pascal van der Heiden and myself made a game about Trio Solution, named Madhouse Drama.

Now, after several projects, such as Doom Builder, he and a team of volunteers have made this cool game called Bloodmasters. A top-view shooter that resembles most first person shooters, except it's more arcade-ier.

You can find more info, and the free download, at Bloodmasters.com

Creature Comforts returns

The short from Aardman Animations, Creature Comforts (1989), is getting new installments. Next to the usual British bits, the talking animals will now also feature American voices.
